Traditional Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), practiced for over 4,000 years, focuses on balancing the body, mind, and environment for overall health. It views the body as interconnected systems, prioritizing illness prevention and addressing root causes over symptoms.

Types of TCM treatments:

1.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture, a key TCM therapy, involves inserting fine needles into specific meridian points to regulate the flow of Qi and restore balance. These meridians correspond to the body’s organs and systems. It’s commonly used for chronic pain, headaches, stress, and digestive issues. Typically painless, sessions are often described as calming.

2.

Cupping

Cupping therapy, a TCM technique, uses suction cups on the skin to stimulate blood flow, relieve muscle tension, and promote healing. It helps detoxify, reduce inflammation, and improve circulation, supporting the body’s natural healing. Circular, painless bruises may appear but fade within days.

3.

Gua Sha

Gua sha, a TCM technique, involves gently scraping the skin with a smooth tool to release blocked energy, improve circulation, and reduce inflammation. Applied to areas like the back, neck, or face, it creates painless "sha" marks that fade within days, signaling improved circulation.

4.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion, a TCM therapy, involves burning dried mugwort near specific body points to apply gentle heat. This stimulates blood flow, warms the body, and promotes healing by balancing energy, improving circulation, relieving pain, and boosting the immune system, especially for cold-related ailments.

5.

Herbs & Nutrition

Herbal medicine, a key part of TCM, uses natural substances to promote health and treat illness. Personalized formulas combine herbs to address specific symptoms, such as boosting energy, relieving pain, or reducing inflammation. It aims to restore balance to the body’s energy and correct organ imbalances, which are seen as causes of disease.
